THE SOME THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF DROPLET

Abstract

An equation which defines curvature dependence of surface tension between two phases is received using the Gibbs method. The known Tolman equation is a special case of the received formula. The laying droplet problem is considered. The Bashforth-Adams equation analogue is received with taking into account curvature dependence of surface tension and its numerical decision is carried out. It is shown that if the droplet size is small in comparison with surface layer thickness (it is cases of micro- or nanodroplet) then curvature dependence of a surface tension will play an essential role.
