Abstract

This article provides a method for calculating the concentration of unburnt hydrocarbons in the exhaust gases of SI engine. It is shown that the proposed method allows for the influence of chemical and physical properties of the fuel, velocity, and width of the flame front and its configuration on emissions unburned hydrocarbons.
